Byzantium is widely regarded as one of the Southwest's premier nightspots offering quality cuisine in sumptuous surroundings with first class entertainment.
Opened in 1998 in a converted Victorian warehouse the setting is a North African/Middle Eastern spectacular. Byzantium comprises of a candlelit bar and lounge area on the ground floor and a spacious dining room on the first floor linked by a sweeping marble staircase.
For main course and dessert ascend the marble staircase to the atmospheric dining room complemented by the fantastic backdrop of the beautiful St Mary Redcliffe church, which is illuminated at night. Adding to the sense of theatre you can view our critically acclaimed chef's preparing your culinary choices in the open-plan gallery kitchen. After dinner return to the lounge to enjoy coffee and post-dinner drinks or, on evenings when there is a DJ, dance the night away.
Enjoy pre-dinner drinks and Byzantium's famous and unique two-tier starter lantern served in the lounge. On busy evenings there is entertainment, such as a belly dancer, table magician, flamenco guitarist, or later, after your meal, a DJ.
Byzantium offers a full a la carte menu that includes daily fish and game dishes plus vegetarian options. Byzantium is situated close to the city centre and is conveniently located to a number of major hotels and a pay and display car park.
